What is AQUATECHinn4.0?

AQUATECHinn 4.0 is a digital learning platform designed for people like you - aquaculture professionals, students and stakeholders who want to stay ahead with the latest skills and technologies.

Whether you are managing an aquaculture facility, introducing fish welfare practices, or dealing with health or sustainability challenges, AQUATECHinn 4.0 has practical training and learning resources to help you succeed.

It's easy to use, free and includes advanced tools, such as virtual reality and gamification to make learning easy and fun.


Who developed this digital platform?

 

You can trust AQUATECHinn 4.0 because it was developed by a consortium involving members from 14 organisations with expertise in aquaculture, learning practices and digital tools.

The AQUATECHInn 4.0 team understands the challenges you face and has worked together to create a learning tool that's not just useful, but transformative for aquaculture.

Our team is made up of:

  1. Aquaculture business associations, including the Associação Portuguesa de Aquacultores (Portugal), the Associazione Piscicoltori Italiani and the Associazione Mediterranea Acquacoltori (Italy), and the Comité National de la Conchyliculture (France). Together, these partners ensure that the platform focuses on the real needs of people working in the industry.

  1. European Universities, including the Recep Tayyip Erdogan University (Turkey), the Universidade do Algarve (Portugal), Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera (Spain) and University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), and the Università di Bologna (Italy), which contribute with research-based knowledge.

  1. Research institutions, namely the Centro de Ciências do Mar do Algarve (Portugal) and MARE (Italy), which provide expertise in sustainable farming and science communication, and FishEthoGroup, that provides expertise in fish welfare.

  1. Vocational training experts, namely the E-SCHOOL Educational Group (Greece), specialise in hands-on learning to give you practical skills.

  1. The project coordinator is SGS Tecnos, a world leader in certification and inspection, which monitors everything to make sure it's reliable and high quality.
